Advanced Wound Management.
Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) are clinical studies proposed by healthcare professionals (HCP) and funded by Smith+Nephew. Study proposals are evaluated on the basis of their scientific merit and alignment with the Smith+Nephew research portfolio and business strategy.
Requests for Manuscript/ Abstract Preparation (MAP) support are also accepted.
Why is it important?
Smith+Nephew is committed to supporting healthcare professionals in their clinical research and scientific activities. These activities may serve to address gaps in the evidence base supporting Smith+Nephew products and may offer significant contributions to the peer-reviewed literature.
Who can submit proposals?
All medical professionals and researchers with an interest in orthopaedics, joint reconstruction, trauma, arthroscopy/sports medicine, wound management, ENT and other related fields are welcome to submit proposals for evaluation.

Please download and complete both the IIS Proposal & Budget Forms found below. Please submit the completed IIS forms, related documents and queries, in English, directly to studyrequest@smith-nephew.com.
