Matt has worked in the medical industry for more than 25 years, most recently as a Senior Vice President at Smith+Nephew.

“I love my job,” says Matt. “I’m involved in the development of new products and oversee research on their effectiveness for patients. It’s like having a front seat to the latest breakthroughs in medicine.”

Last year, Matt’s work struck very close to home.

After reviewing his X-ray with his surgeon, Matt understood the extent of his injury and what was needed for the repair.



The REGENETEN Implant is a collagen patch about the size of a postage stamp. When attached to a torn rotator cuff during surgery, it helps the body grow new tendon-like tissue to heal the tear.2-5 It can be used for both partial-thickness and full-thickness tears.
